Full Bloom: A Lavender Farm

I love flowers. Flower fields, flower farms, flower festivals. Years ago, my parents took my sister and I to this tulip festival in Washington. I remember running on the marked paths between the rows of tulips, and each row was a different colour. It’s such a beautiful and colourful memory.

Last summer, we switched things up a bit and visited a sunflower festival. It was equal parts beautiful and terrifying, because those plants can grow tall. Some had huge faces and loomed over us, but many of them were turned towards the sun.

Fast-forward to this summer, just a few days ago, where we decided to switch things up again! My family and I swung by a lovely little Lavender Farm and it was such a pretty sight.

The lavender fields are only open at a certain time of the year, and our spontaneous visit was on one of its last few days for this year! There is a small shop by the field that is open by appointment where visitors can purchase some very cute – and very pleasant smelling – lavender bundles. We bought one bundle and divided them amongst ourselves. My room has never smelled so good.

This lavender farm is a hidden gem in our area. The day we went was cloudy and cool, but it didn’t take away from our enjoyment. The lavenders were plentiful, bright and in full bloom. Definitely looking forward to future visits (I also need to restock the lavender bundle in my room haha!).

    • Ooh I’ve never heard of that drama, is it good? (In dire need of more dramas to watch hehe !!) Thank you for stopping by as well! <3

  • This place looks so lovely! I’ve always wanted to visit a Lavender Farm but I doubt there are any near me. Sunflower fields are awesome too – and you’re right, those flowers do get big and scary. Glad you guys had a great time visiting!

    • I think out of the different flower fields we’ve visited, the sunflowers were my favourite (I regret not getting a bouquet)! Do they have any sunflower fields in your area? we should visit when we visit!

  • Love a hidden gem! Lavender farms are so beautiful <3 I have yet to visit one, though I have visited botanical gardens with small lavender fields. I have a bushel of dried lavender that I've been holding onto for two years; I have it displayed in a mason jar in my apartment, and I also pull it out as a prop for flatlays sometimes haha -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s

    • The fields were beautiful, I love how delicate these flowers are <3 and YES SAME HERE, I've been planning to use my lavender as photo props too!

  • The lavender farm looks gorgeous! I’ve been seeing a lot of people visit a lavender farm recently, and I wish I could go visit one, especially because I love the scent. I’ll have to plan a trip for next year.

  • Love visiting flower gardens and festivals too! Been to a sunflower festival in Richmond, Canada last week and it was quite an adventure. This is such a cute lavender farm, I didn’t know there’s a white lavender. I visited a lavender farm in Tasmania last Christmas but they’re all purple. Nice to find your blog!

    • I haven’t been to the sunflower festival in richmond, but i heard it is beautiful. They also have one out in chilliwack!
